Thalia Guarnieri’s work stems from the loss of their mother and the progression of her illness throughout Guarnieri’s college years. Using both sculptural, three-dimensional works, as well as two-dimensional paintings, Guarnieri wants to leave the viewer almost unsure of how to react to the pieces. Guarnieri went to Saint Michael’s College for Art & Design and graduated with a BA in 2026. They had a solo exhibition, “I Wish You Could Have Met Her”, at McCarthy Gallery in Colchester, Vermont, in 2026. They are now located in Albany, New York.
